Greetings, in the matchless name of Jesus! . . .

. . . and welcome to the Glenwood Baptist Church website. Whether you are new to the Oak Ridge area and seeking a place to worship with other believers, or whether you are already part of the Glenwood church family, I invite you to browse these web pages to learn more about the church and the many available opportunities for worship and service.

At Glenwood, we are One People with One Purpose and One Passion. We are one people, united by our common trust in Jesus Christ. We have one purpose—to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in Oak Ridge and to the ends of the earth. And we pursue that one purpose motivated by one great passion—a passionate love for our Lord, Jesus Christ.

If you’d like to become part of the great things God is doing and will do in and through Glenwood Baptist Church, please accept my personal invitation to come and worship with us. Or, you can contact me directly here at the church by e-mail or telephone. I would count it an honor to get to know you and to help you get “plugged in” to the many exciting opportunities for worship and service to our Lord here at Glenwood. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

 Yours in Christ,

      Pastor Mark Walton

Our Beliefs

The Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the Divine final authority for all Christian faith and life.

God
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and arose bodily from the dead according to the Scriptures.

Holy Spirit
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

Salvation
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Only those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.

What must I do to become a Christian?
